The 6th graders at the Smith College Campus School painted in response to our first Iraqi mural which hung for many weeks in the large beautiful foyer of the school. The project was initiated and supported by classroom teachers Tom Weiner and Lara Ramsey working in collaboration art teacher (and artist) Bob Hepner. Thamer and I visited with the children a number of times before they began the project, talking to them about Iraq and the Iraqi children/youth in Jordan.
